Further training

Dear students,

On 11 June 2025, the Rectorate decided to discontinue the extended degree programme "Leadership - acting responsibly in society and business".

What does this mean?

Unfortunately, new enrolments for the programme can no longer be accepted. Students who have already been admittedhowever, still have the opportunity to complete their studies by 30/09/2027.

How can I still complete my degree programme?

We have summarised the most important steps for you here. If you have any further questions, please contact us at leadership(at)uni-graz.at

1. Announcement by e-mail at leadership(at)uni-graz.at by 01.09.2025 at the latest whether you still plan to complete the degree programme
2. Make a list of the courses that are still open.
3. You will find a suggestion of courses that can be credited in terms of content in the appendix.
4. Take a look at the dates in the UGO and contact us by 15.09.2025 at the latest for the winter semester which courses you would like to and can attend from this list. (For courses from the summer semester for which no dates have yet been noted, please send us the corresponding list by 30.01.2026 at the latest) The courses marked in yellow are those courses that are held at our centre/institute and for which we can guarantee you a fixed place (provided you let us know in good time by the deadline specified that you would like to attend this course). We can register you for the courses of our institute in the UGO. For courses organised by other institutes, you would have to register for the courses yourself in the UGO.
5. Option 2: search the entire course programme of the University of Graz for possible courses with suitable content. Caution: If the course is not on our list, you must contact our Cuko chair Armin Kreuzthaler in advance. armin.kreuzthaler(at)uni-graz.at in advance to check whether the content of the course is suitable.
6. Attendance of the respective course and subsequent crediting procedure via Armin Kreuzthaler
7. After all courses have been completed and successfully credited, you can apply for your certificate (see SOWI homepage)

Consultation hours to discuss open questions regarding graduation:

• Wednesday 10.09. - 10:00 am (via Zoom, link will be sent out in time)
• Thursday 11.09. - 17:00 (via Zoom, link will be sent out in time)

Registration for the consultation appointments by 05.09.2025 at the latest via email at leadership(at)uni-graz.at

If you have any questions by this time that should be dealt with individually, please contact us at the above e-mail address. We will then clarify these in a one-to-one meeting if necessary.

I still have open courses, but no longer wish to complete my degree programme. What options are there for me to provide formal proof of my previous achievements?

If you still have open courses, we cannot issue you with an official transcript of records. However, we can offer you a TIMEGATE certificate as an alternative, which shows future employers that you have worked on developing leadership skills as part of your student career. Please send us an email with the courses you would like to have on this certificate.
